‼️ATTENTION KOREANS‼️
These are 6 VERY common mistakes that most Korean people make. If you fix these, you will be MUCH more natural in your English.

1) forgetting particles (a/an/the)

2) forgetting plural (s/es)

ALWAYS double check these. They do not seem important because Korean does not have them. But they are VERY important to sound natural.

3) fun vs. funny
•funny = makes you LAUGH “hahahaha” “ㅋㅋㅋㅋ”
•fun = you enjoyed it “woo!” “yay!” “재밌다!” “좋아!”

4) bored vs. boring
•bored = me/he/she is bored
“I am so bored at school because my teacher is boring.”
“My dog looks so bored laying on the floor.”
“You seem bored because you are staring at the wall.”
“I am bored because all of my friends are asleep.”
“I am bored because I can’t find a good show on netflix.”
•boring = something that is not fun or interesting (재미없어요)
“This show is boring.”
“This book is boring.”
“You are being quiet so you are boring me.”
-bonus •bore = the thing that is boring
“You are such a bore.”
“This class is such a bore.”

5) expecting vs. looking forward to
Naver is wrong.
•expect = you think it will happen (good or bad) (maybe 90% chance)
“I expect that I will fail this test.”
“I expect rain is coming.”
“I expect that tomorrow will be fun.”
“I expect you will be nicer to her in the future after she slapped you and screamed.”
“I’m expecting the mail man to come at 3:30 P.M.”
•look forward to = positively waiting for something good to happen
“I look forward to my trip.”
“I look forward to eating this good meal.”
“I am lookin forward to our date tomorrow night.”

6) drama vs. tv show
Americans do not use the word “drama.” We just say TV show.

본인이 실수 하는 것들이 몇개정도 있는지?

특히 나는 1번 관사 같은 경우를 많이 빼먹는데, 이것이 네이티브 입장에서는 자연스러움이 부족하게 들리는가보다.
