영어에서는 대명사를 굉장히 자주 사용한다.
특히나 질문에 대해 대답할때. 대명사를 사용해 대답하는 것이 자연스러운 커뮤니케이션이다.

× Unnatural Repetition ×

📖
When we refer to a person or thing that's already been mentioned in an earlier sentence, we normally just use a pronoun instead of repeating the original noun phrase. When the reference is reeeeaaallly close to the original noun phrase, it is not only unnatural but it becomes ungrammatical!!

For example:

• Question: "What's Sierra doing here?"
Answer: "SHE wants to talk to you."
(NOT: "Sierra wants to talk to you.")

• Sentence: "We got that cat because the kids wanted IT."
(NOT: "We got that cat because the kids wanted that cat.")

📖
This kind of thing happens with other words besides nouns, too!
For example:

• Person 1: "I don't smoke."
Person 2: "I do."
(NOT: "I smoke." In this case, it is more unnatural than ungrammatical.)

• Question: "Do you know if the bank's open?"
Answer: "I think so."
(NOT: "I think the bank is open.")

📖
HOWEVER.... repetition is necessary and normal when you are giving/given choices.
For example:

•  Question: "Would you like rice or potatoes?"
Answer: "Rice please!"

•Question: "Shall we dance or go from a walk?"
Answer: "Let's dance, man."

자꾸자꾸 반복해서 길들이자!
